FAQs

How does membership work?

1

Wake is application-based. We review every member to make sure the community stays intentional and high quality. Submit a short application at joinwake.com and we'll be in touch within 1-2 weeks.

What’s included in membership?

2

Access to our Slack community where members ask questions, share resources, celebrate wins, and support each other through the harder parts of this work. You'll also get access to exclusive virtual events and conversations with inspiring voices in the death and dying space.

Who is Wake for?

3

Wake is for people who believe death and dying deserve better, and are doing something about it. That includes: Death doulas, EOL entrepreneurs, hospice innovators, policy advocates, grief advocates, funeral reformers, memorial designers, palliative care providers, and more.

Founding membership is $75/year. This rate is locked in for as long as you remain a member.

Standard membership is $150/year.

How much does it cost?

What is the community like?

5

Wake is not a passive or information-only space. Responsiveness is a community norm, not an ambition. And it starts with the founding cohort who are shaping that culture from day one.

Where does the community live?

6

Wake runs on Slack: a platform many already use. Once you're accepted, you'll receive an invitation to join our private workspace where all the conversations happen.

Can I refer someone?

7

Please do! Referrals are how we grow. If you know someone doing meaningful, innovative work in the death and dying space, send them to joinwake.com to apply. They will have the ability to add your name as their reference.

How can I contact Wake?

You can reach us anytime via our contact page. We try to answer any questions within two business days.

8

Yes. Wake is currently focused on US-based professionals. As the community grows we'll evaluate expanding, but for now we want to build something deep before we build it wide.
